Salamanca Warriors win CCMFL PeeWee A championship

CATTARAUGUS — The Salamanca Warrior peewees won the top prize for youth football teams in the area on Saturday, defeating Ellicottville for the Super Bowl PeeWee A championship.

The Warriors won, 26-15, in the Cattaraugus County Midget Football League championship.

Running back Quinten Brown led the team with more than 100 yards on the ground in Saturday’s game.

Quarterback Jaxon Crouse had two rushing touchdowns and one passing score, a throw to Landon Cotter. Kaden Scott also scored a touchdown for the Warriors.

Warriors coach Jason Wass, along with assistant coach Kameron Scott, have been selected to the Project Play Western New York Coaches Honor Roll. They will be recognized at New Era Field on Nov. 3 during the Buffalo Bills game against Washington.
