Reflecting on a Stellar 2024 Season
The Warriors' 2024 season was nothing short of extraordinary. Under the leadership of Head Coach Chad Bartoszek, Salamanca achieved a 13-1 overall record, including a perfect 7-0 mark in league play, securing the Section VI Class C championship. The team's playoff run was highlighted by decisive victories over Medina (50-7), Portville/Cuba-Rushford/Hinsdale Central (40-14), East Rochester-Gananda (42-20), and Chenango Forks (34-13). Their impressive journey concluded with a hard-fought 26-20 loss to Schuylerville in the NYSPHSAA Class C state semifinals.
Key contributors to the Warriors' success included quarterback Maddox Isaac, wide receiver Cory Holleran, defensive lineman Warrick Kyler, and linebacker Zach Trietley. These standout players received All-State honors, underscoring the team's talent and depth.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As the Warriors prepare for the 2025 season, they aim to maintain their dominance in Section VI and make another deep postseason run. The schedule presents several challenges, including early road games against Olean and Springville, as well as a critical mid-season matchup at Portville-CR-BR. Home games against strong opponents like Clymer-Sherman-Panama and Southwestern-Frewsburg will test the team's resilience and adaptability.
With a blend of experienced leadership and emerging talent, Salamanca is well-positioned to continue its tradition of excellence. The program's rich history, combined with recent achievements, sets the stage for an exciting and competitive 2025 season.
